I have been on a bit of a DIY kick recently, thanks to Pinterest. :)
As I was browsing around, this photo lead me to Suddenly Inspired.
Head over there to see tons of super neat DIY projects.
Anyway, I was INSPIRED. Dadadada!

I shopped around a bit looking for a cheap coat hanger.
I was appalled at the prices in Hobby Lobby so I decided to make my own.
I went to Lowe's and bought this 2x4 on clearance and asked them to cut it to the length I wanted.
I didn't have any stain on hand, so I bought some of that too,
which is okay with me since I needed it for another project.
I had a sanding block and paintbrush on hand already, so when I got home I went right to work.
After staining my board, I let it dry overnight in the garage.

In my storage closet I have been saving a pile of frames and knickknacks that I hadn't quite found the right place for. It's a bit of a hodgepodge collection.
But that's nothing a can of spray paint cant fix!
A quick run to Hobby produced these sweet vintage knobs 50% off of course!
I ordered the photos I wanted for the frames from the Wal-Mart just down the street.
And within a few hours they were finished printing.
I mounted my new coat rack to the wall using six large screws.
I wanted to be sure that it was strong enough to hold our heaviest coats and bags.
Here is the finished product!
I am so pleased with how it turned out.
Over all, I think I spent about $20.00 on the whole project. Not too shabby!
Have a great day!
I really like this Anna. I've been wishing that I could do something different with my wall in my room.....not sure yet what to do. Not to mention that I don't have money (after purchasing my guitar)
