Vacation Bible School
This last week our church has put on our annual vacation bible school for the kids in our community. This year the theme was “Paul and the underground church” where we turned the church basement into a cave where we held our underground church; and the church yard into a Roman market. We divided the kids up into families with family leaders. I was a family leader this year and I had a group of ten kids as my family. I learn a lot helping out with V.B.S. every year; it is always a good experience in evangelizing and encouraging. It is also a good opportunity for me to practice patience, compassion, mercy and many more virtues! What I see happening in the hearts of these precious children, every year amazes me. This year I had a little boy in my group who would sweetly and honestly answer every question with the statement: “Jesus.” Another little girl watched carefully as “Brutus” Paul’s unbelieving Roman guard slowly realizes who Jesus really is. One day she piped up and said “Brutus! You are changing!” God also uses V.B.S. to teach the workers many things from learning more about God to learning more about Rome. Not only does V.B.S. teach everyone there lots of amazing things, but it is also a ton of fun:

Too cute. :) My dad was the children's pastor at our old church, and whenever all the kids were sitting and answering questions he called out, there would be at least five "Jesuses" to every thing he said. :)
